1

What it is

A legitimate endocrine research tool with human physiologic studies. Not a lifestyle peptide. Fertility-medicine development (including longer analogs) is the serious path; gray-market Kp-10 is not that path.

2

How it works

Kisspeptin is the upstream peptide that stimulates GnRH neurons. Kp-10 is a short agonist used in research to probe the HPG axis: LH/FSH pulses, fertility work-ups, and experimental reproductive therapeutics.

3

The evidence

Dhillo and others have published human infusion studies showing LH secretion in healthy volunteers and some hypogonadal states. Diagnostic and therapeutic programs are ongoing in specialist centers. Not a consumer evidence base.

4

Sourcing

Not FDA-approved as a consumer or general endocrine drug. Hospital/research use. Related analogs are in development.

A specialist/research tool. Human infusion studies happen in endocrine research units. FDA lists kisspeptin-10 in Category 2 for 503A compounding (immunogenicity and characterization concerns, insufficient safety information for proposed routes). It is not a consumer fertility peptide.

Same four pathways as the Sourcing guide.

5

Will insurance pay?

Covered only as part of a work-up or trial in a specialist setting — not as a self-pay peptide.

6

Grey market

Sold to men's-health and fertility forums as Kp-10. A bolus from a research vial is not Dhillo's infusion protocol.

Strand does not list vendors. See the grey market.

7

Risks

HPG-axis perturbation can disrupt menstrual cycles, spermatogenesis timing, and mood. Pregnancy is an obvious exclusion. Unregulated bolus use is not a fertility protocol.

  • Still Category 2 at FDA for compounding.

  • Pregnancy is an exclusion. Unregulated bolus use is not fertility care.
