Thymosin alpha-1

A real pharmaceutical in several countries (thymalfasin / Zadaxin) for hepatitis B and as an adjuvant in selected settings. Not FDA-approved for general 'immune optimization.' COVID-era use was exploratory.

An acetylated 28-residue peptide originally isolated from thymus. It modulates T-cell maturation and innate pathways (including TLR signaling in some models). That is immune modulation, not a stimulant in the colloquial sense.

Chronic hepatitis B data and vaccine-adjuvant studies exist outside the US. Oncology and sepsis adjunct trials are mixed. COVID-19 studies were heterogeneous and not definitive. The evidence is stronger than gray-market 'healing peptides' and weaker than a first-line US antiviral.
